Drone Alliance
German-Ukrainian initiative bridging the artillery gap with FPV drones, fortifying Ukraine's freedom and saving lives on the frontline.
project status
drone alliance was a german-ukrainian initiative that raised funds for the production and delivery of fpv drones to ukraine. by assembling and testing drones within europe, the project aimed to bridge the critical artillery gap and relieve the burden on ukrainian production capacity.
the project has been discontinued to allow focus on computer-based defense solutions, particularly in the areas of computer vision and automated systems that can provide scalable impact for ukraine's defense efforts.
the impact we made
experience in ukraine has demonstrated how cost-efficient and effective fpv drones can be on the battlefield. a well-trained ukrainian fpv pilot can cause the equivalent damage of a €70,000 javelin missile with a €250 drone. this 280:1 cost-effectiveness ratio makes fpv drones one of the most efficient force multipliers available.
during our active period, we assembled and tested drones within europe and worked with ukrainian partner organizations who ensured direct deployment to units where they could have immediate impact.
how you can support drone production
while drone alliance is no longer active, there are several excellent organizations continuing this vital work. if you want to support fpv drone production for ukraine, consider contributing to these platforms:
a volunteer initiative that runs drone-building workshops in europe and then donates the finished drones to organizations in ukraine.
a community-driven project that mobilises donors and engineers to build fpv drones (~€250 each) and deliver them to the ukrainian armed forces.
a tech-military education and logistics project that supports equitable training and supplies of unmanned systems and equipment to defence forces, enabled by donations.
the official fundraising platform of the president of ukraine, collecting and transparently allocating donations across multiple sectors including defence and drones.
