tubeqr is a fast and lightweight python tool that generates qr codes for all videos in a youtube playlist. it's designed to make sharing video content easier in physical formats, perfect for educational materials, advent calendars, or creating scannable links for course playlists.

the tool works with both youtube playlists and single videos and creates numbered output files with clean filenames. each generated qr code is saved as a png file with sequential numbering, making it easy to organize and use.

installation

install the required dependencies:

pip install qrcode pillow yt-dlp

usage

run the script and enter a youtube url when prompted:

python tubeqr.py

the script will create a folder with qr codes and an overview file containing all video links.

output structure

the tool creates a clean, organized folder structure with numbered files:

each qr code is saved as a high-quality png file with sequential numbering. the overview.txt file contains all video links for easy reference and backup purposes.
